Light Horses

The Light Horse Section of the Flintham & District Ploughing Match & Agricultural Show consists of six ridden horse classes and championship in the morning, and three working hunter classes and championship in the afternoon.
The ridden horse classes comprise Open Ridden Cob, Open Riding Horse, Ridden Coloured Horse, Novice Hunter, Open Hunter, and Ladies’ Side Saddle Horse. During the line-up of these classes, the judging for the much sought-after Best Shod Horse Awards, sponsored by the Worshipful Company of Farriers, will be undertaken.
The working hunter classes comprise Working Show Horse (hack, cob or riding horse type), Novice Working Hunter, and Open Working Hunter, over rustic fences.
The Show has always been a sociable meeting place for the end of the season.   So even if you do not bring a horse, come and watch at Sibthorpe near Flintham, Newark, Notts.
