Education
Farming plays a vital part in all our lives. The contribution that farming makes is immensely diverse:
Food – It produces high quality, ethically sourced food
Nature – It protects wildlife habitats, influences the local landscape, helping to safeguard the natural environment.
Wellbeing – At a time when issues of children’s health and diet are foremost in the national consciousness, children are benefiting from learning from farmers where food comes from, food miles and seasonality.
This year we will be showing the wheat to bread story. Children will have a chance to follow the display make and bake a roll in the outside oven. Colour a salt dough model to hang in our giant loaf or take home. With Connie the Cow, Peter the Pigsaw there will be a lot of hands on things to do.
